Hi, I’m Eva.

Therapy is personal. I believe the relationship we build matters.

I’m Eva Hoffman, LCSW, a psychotherapist with more than 10 years of experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, relationships, family challenges, life transitions, perinatal mental health, and caregiving stress.

I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely known—not reduced to a diagnosis, a set of symptoms, or a treatment plan. My role isn’t to tell you who to be or hand you a formula for feeling better. It’s to work alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and honesty as we understand what’s happening, recognize patterns, build on your strengths, and figure out what feels meaningful for you.

Why I Do This Work

I’m drawn to the moments when people are trying to make sense of something—when life has shifted, an old way of coping no longer works, relationships feel complicated, or you simply know that something could feel different.

My professional background has allowed me to work with people across different stages of life and in a variety of settings. Those experiences shaped the way I practice today: with an understanding that no part of our lives exists in isolation.

Who we are is influenced by our experiences, relationships, responsibilities, environments, and the systems around us. Therapy gives us room to understand those pieces together—not just to feel better in the moment, but to develop greater insight, flexibility, and confidence in how you move through your life.

What You Can Expect From Me

I’ll Ask Questions

Not because there’s a “right” answer, but because curiosity can help us understand what’s underneath a pattern, reaction, or feeling.

We Can Be Practical

Sometimes you need insight. Sometimes you need a concrete strategy for getting through Tuesday morning. There is room for both.

You Don’t Have to Perform Therapy

You don’t need the perfect words, a carefully organized story, or a profound realization every week. You can come as you are.

You Have a Life Outside the Therapy Room

Work, family, relationships, responsibilities, culture, expectations, and everyday realities all matter. Therapy should make sense within the context of your actual life.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling and exploring new places, photography, and being outdoors. I’m also an animal person and a horse owner, so some of my favorite downtime is spent at the barn.

I find meaning in the ordinary moments—a good conversation, discovering somewhere new, time outside, or simply slowing down enough to notice where you are. Those are often the moments that make a life feel full.

And yes, if your pet decides to make an appearance during a virtual session, they’re always welcome.
